The aim of this course is to investigate the design elements and principles, and to apply appropriate wearing situationally. Also, analysis of factors influencing fashion change and fashion diffusion is discussed. Finally, students study the production and utilization of apparel based on information and communication technologies during the 4th industrial revolution.

In Consumer studies, we study a series of decision-making principles related to how to obtain and distribute resources in reference to not only money-related household behaviors such as income, consumption and saving but also to non-monetary household behaviors like marriage, childbirth and time allocation. Also, to understand the changes in the market environment, we will study about financial and credit transactions.

This course is designed to develop digital literacy required in the secondary school curriculum along with changes in the fashion industry utilizing various digital technologies in line with the digital transformation era, and to practice and produce 3D fashion design for the digital native generation.

In this course, students study changes in the physicochemical components and nutrients of foods during cooking and processing. Foods cover grains, fruits and vegetables, meats and fish, eggs, milk, and fats and oils.

Housing course investigates critical properties of traditional housing culture and important attributes of housing in modern urban environments from historical, psychological, physical, sociological, and economic environmental education. This introductory course seeks to explore the fundamentals of home economics as an academic subject. It includes the comprehensive study of the application, practice, job prospects, standards, personal aptitude for the study of Home Economics.

Students in this course study the principles of human nutrition. This course covers absorption, metabolism, functions, and requirements of nutrients: Carbohydrates, Proteins, Lipids, Minerals, and Vitamins. It also covers the relationship between diet and chronic diseases.

To meet the societal need for counseling, this course reviews the fundamental theories and practices about counseling. Students will learn about the basic knowledge and attitudes as the counselor.

This course provides hands-on experience with digital educational tools and EdTech technologies applicable in teaching practice. Students will learn to use platforms such as AI-powered learning tools, and collaborative software to design and manage lessons. The course enhances teaching competence and digital literacy for future-oriented education.

We try to understand the factors that influence consumer decision making for rational choice in line with consumer value, and study about internal and external factors that affect sustainable consumption. It also emphasizes the value of the community and learns about the characteristics of vulnerable consumer behavior such as multicultural families and disadvantaged consumers.

This course is designed for comprehensive understanding of adolescents development and education. Specifically, this class will introduce the physical, cognitive, and socio-emotional development process and characteristics of the youth, and based on developmental theories, examine the reality and problems that adolescents currently face, and provide specific practical methods for the education and guidance of adolescents.

Students study history and culture of Korean food. This course gives students the opportunities to cook typical Korean recipes: Kimchi, Jeon(Korean pancake), Chapche(sauted vegetables with noodles), Tteok(rice cake), etc.

In this course, students study textiles and clothing management. This course covers materials, care and maintenance of garments focusing on planned purchase, storage, and detergent/washing.

The subject looks into values and goals that family should pursue through a correlation between family and environment, and it searches for an effective management of resources to achieve them, by dividing them into the area of material resources and that of human resources(effective communication method & time management .etc.), Also study about the management process of multicultural family, single family, gender equality family for understanding of family diversity

In the 21st century, consumer education is needed from a new perspective by changing the market environment and reinforcing consumer sovereignty consciousness. Therefore, we study the changing market environment, consumer education goals, education contents, education methods and media production.

This course covers basic theories of family studies and counseling, family life counseling methods, and practical application. In addition, a review of the procedure and of the role of counselor in family counseling will familiarize students with relevant information and theoretical and practical skills required of professionals working with various families.

Students study history and culture of foreign food. This course gives students the opportunities to cook Japanese, Chinese, Italian, French, American recipes.

This course explores the meaning and function of various living spaces, including residential environments. Students will develop spatial curation skills through user-centered design thinking. The course includes analysis of design elements such as layout, furniture, color, and movement lines, aiming to build planning capabilities that respond to changes in lifestyle.

This course is a practice-based program designed to enhance students' creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Based on the framework of a Makerthon, students work in teams to identify real-life problems, design solutions using design thinking methodology, and produce tangible outcomes. The course emphasizes self-directed learning, creative thinking, and communication competency through hands-on project experiences.

Students in this course study special nutrition issues at different periods of the life cycle. Topics cover the physiological characteristics, dietary intakes, nutritional requirements, and nutritional problems of pregnant and lactating women, infants, children, adolescents, and old age.

Students study exploration of the social-psychological aspects of clothing in relation to human behavior with self-directed learning. Studies of environmental, individual, and social-psychological influences on behavior of consumers in the apparel consumption process will be discussed.

Consumer problems, as structural problems in the market, require policies to support and counselling to help their solution. In this regard, it covers the principles and methods of consumer policy and counseling in order to enable the acquisition of expertise and technology that can solve consumer problems. Also we will learn about consumer policy and counseling for solving consumer problems in multicultural families and low-income families.

Based on an understanding of the basic principles of family welfare, this course identifies the targets of family welfare and examines specific methods, policies, and institutional conditions for implementing family welfare. Students will gain understanding of the current state of family welfare and the challenges it faces by examining the current status and problems of family welfare by dividing it into specific areas of practice.

In this course, students study about the curriculum, education method, educational theory, and the media of education necessary for nutrition education, and produce a nutrition education media that can be applied to actual middle and high school class.

We look into the values and goals of family over the family life cycle and study an effective management of resources to achieve them in the form of seminars. It also study about family life problems of vulnerable families such as multicultural families.

Based on the academic understanding og the interior design, the element of safety education is elicited, and the satety education program necessary for the school is developed and practiced.

This course focuses on the teaching of home economics processing oriented curriculum through educational goals and evaluations for middle and high school. In addition, this course can help to development to creative experiential activities for home economics, free-semester system, and course in life education.

This course seeks to develop teaching variety materials and methods that are appropriate for learners using the educational goals of home economics for middle and high schools. Also this course can learn about variety teaching-learning method related with middle and high school field.

It covers logical thinking and creative expression way in the respective major areas of home economics(Clothing and Textiles, Food and Nutrition, Housing, Child and Family Studies, Home Management and Practice/Consumer Research). Also, students can think and write about special program include with unification education, environment education, gender equality education and life respect education in home economics education.
